The Malta University History Society (MUHS) is organizing a Photographic competition for all officially registered University students. The aim behind such an event is to put up an exhibition from 13th April running up through April 19th, in order to commemorate the International Sites and Monuments Day. The exhibition will be open for the public and we will also hold a public opening ceremony on the 13th followed by a reception and the prize giving ceremony to the winners.
A panel of judges will be responsible to choose the winners. Each entry will be judged on artistic expression, creativity, originality and the quality of the photo.
Apart from raising national awareness, our aim is to provide an innovative perspective towards our Heritage.
Such an event would also serve as an activity related to the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. Besides, MUHS would also follow up with an informative public lecture which would discuss National Restoration Projects and open the interest doors to those youths who wish to pursue a future career in the restoration field but also inform the public of what is being done to conserve Maltas Heritage and how it can be then used as a brand in our Tourism industry.
Those who wish to take part in this competition should read the rules and fill out the application form.
